PSYCHOMETRIC PROFILING Psychometric Profiling or Testing is a popular way of finding out whether a candidate's personality and aptitude are suitable for a particular vacancy. Some companies conduct them before interview others choose to offer one-to-one interviews and then test as a formality. Tests take approximately 15 minutes to an hour to complete and the results can give a detailed report on your influences, stability, dominance and compliance qualities. More often than not, many are now undertaken over the internet prior to an interview. There is no right or wrong way to complete them and you shouldn't be afraid of them after all they are there for career guidance, to measure (metric) your mind (psycho). Put yourself at ease when you complete them, work through them methodically; there is normally not just one correct answer and they are not there to "catch you out".
