A busy and challenging role managing the collection of outstanding debt, and minimising outstanding debt.

 

Working from Head Office you will be liaising with customers and branches of this nationwide organisation to discuss issues that may prevent the timely collection of debt. 

Duties will involve:

• ensuring debts are collected as they fall due
• ensure overdue letters  are sent out in line with company procedures
• to ensure accounts are placed on stop according to procedures
• ensure all outstanding invoice queries are resolved and relevant information logged onto the account
• bring high risk accounts to the attention of Regional Management
• pass overdue accounts to solicitors in line with procedures
• review accounts that have exceeded current credit limits and take appropriate action.

Suitable candidates will have been educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English, and ideally be able to demonstrate 18 mths experience within a credit control environment. In addition you will have good communication skills and a knowledge of credit control procedures, along with some balance sheet knowledge.  Ideally you will be a Student or Member of the Institute of Credit Management, but this is not essential.
