Initially a temporary position progressing to a permanent position, as the need to source this role is extremely urgent. Ideally you will have a background within a costing/purchasing environment as you will be responsible for purchasing stock, at competitive prices to internal guidelines to agreed SLAs. A general knowledge of IT products would be useful.

 

Office hours apply to this role, you will be working in a team of purchasing professional at all levels. It is a busy but very rewarding role.

Key elements of the position include:

• Sourcing stock items through agreed suppliers' listing
• Liaising with suppliers to negotiate prices for non spec'd parts
• Maintaining in house computerised stock systems
• Processing orders and recording information onto their systems.

This role liaises with all departmental heads.

A methodical commercial approach is required, "an eye for detail", essential.
