CV Prep Tips
Documents Required whilst job hunting, for registering with Agencies, applying for roles and securing employment
You will need to prove your eligibility to work in the UK by providing a full birth certificate or a passport (with necessary visas if applicable).
You will need to provide 2 references, work references for the last 3 - 5 years.
If you have not worked for any period over 3 months you must be able to ‘prove’ what you have been doing...It is easy if you have:
- been travelling – there will be visas etc in your passport
- been studying – a reference may be obtained from an educational establishment
- been receiving benefits – dates can be verified by the relevant body
However, if you have had a career break for whatever reason, did you know you have to ‘prove’ what you have been doing by providing a reference from a deemed ‘professional individual’ who will stipulate and validate what you have been doing?
Here's a list we've been given of professional references that are acceptable to clients. These will make you smile!
