Hello, is anyone listening?
Sitting waiting for a candidate in a café as we do sometimes, especially early in the morning or late afternoon, it is amusing that these places are now business places to meet.
Naturally, our GDPR is on the button. We worked very hard to ensure we were and are consistently GDPR compliant and we are totally signed up to it. To be honest, we always have been in regard or being cautious of other people’s information and keeping things completely confidential but what about other agencies?
Just opposite is a lady from another agency (we won’t name names). Firstly it’s really excellent actually meeting the candidates (as so many just don’t bother anymore) but really having the CV spalled over the desk and putting a black cross in the box where to sign?
Then there are people on their laptops that pop up to the counter for a coffee and do not close their laptop and we all are aware of the loud-speaking person calling out figures from a spreadsheet or closing a deal (well supposedly).
It’s funny how we create a space around us which we think is private but it is just not. Please be aware of this when you take on your next recruitment agency.
