Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2020 to everyone we know and have met and spoken to over the last 30 years; many of whom have shared lots of personal stuff and stories with us.
Recruitment is all about people and people do go through the most harrowing of times during their lives and of course joy! We hope at Johnson Underwood if we have not found you your next role – you beat us to it, that we have been able to offer advice and support. To everyone who is experiencing their first or indeed years of Christmas without loved ones, or being alone, be kind to yourself and just get through it – a hot drink, cake, and a box set does wonders….to those who have lost their jobs, just look at what you can offer and build on that – sadly we live in a blame society and we always blame ourselves (well the nice people do); perhaps think of going on a night course, just to add to your skills….you never know and remember all those rejections from job boards are computers, not real people making the decisions.
To those whose lives have been turned on their heads with accidents which should not have happened, dig deep, it can only get better, but it’s going to be tough, but we haven’t met one person who would not be up for this challenge; you will have good days and bad days….but as they say tomorrow is always another day.
To the young people trying so hard to strive and build a life, a career and get a deposit for a house; keep going, even if it is so tough and you get loads of knockbacks. The young people we meet are full of promise and just need a helping hand. You are our future, I just wish more employers would embrace this and give you the opportunities and support to succeed – bar humbug to all those who said they have had it tough so others should have it tough!
Merry Christmas and all the best for a brilliant New Year from the team at Johnson Underwood!!
