We would like to say a big thank you to all the front liners within the NHS and Support services; they are the best. We too have front liners beavering away supporting the local government and unfortunately, we are really sad to report that they have been treated so badly. Many are working remotely, supporting essential services.
About a month ago their contracts were ceased supposedly as they had not been brought across from a commercial operation with a government contract to deliver. No one would speak to either my temps or us. My temps were keeping the service going because the permanent staff were self-isolating. They of course panicked when they knew that a Manager had ceased the contracts and tried to reverse, promising my temps that they would be safe well into next year.
Despite us not trusting them one iota, in order to get my temps paid I agreed to continue the contract for them.
Now it seems, now they have had a few weeks to replace them so underhandedly once again they have said my temps’ contracts will be ceased – that was a week ago. Since then no more information to us or my temps. It is shocking how they treat people and on top of that, they are blaming their own Managers for this debacle. It’s just the pinnacle of how inept they are and how they treat their staff and the public they are supposed to support.
Of course, we have been threatened about going out on social media and so forth – but I have 30 years knowledge of this organisation and just how rotten to the core they are; jobs for the boys; failed contracts; paying Management Consultants £1,000 per day; major safeguarding issues; golden handshakes; countless failed initiatives; spite and contempt; blame culture; bad finance and internal fraud.
As for wellbeing, it is just lip service. It is like COVID itself in government at local and national level; a disease that cares for no one but itself. To be continued…
